2022 Winnebago Travato updates

The Winnebago Travato has been one of the top-selling Camper Vans in North America over the past few years. Whether it’s a weekend trip or living full time, the Travato has everything you need to get out and explore. For 2022 the Travato has received some new updates and improvements from years past. Below we will cover the changes for 2022.

Cab Area

The Travato is built on the Ram Promaster chassis provides all the latest comforts, conveniences, and safety features. The 7″ multimedia touchscreen infotainment center features steering wheel controls, color rear camera, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM. For 2022, the Travato now comes standard with crosswind assist and blind-spot monitoring in addition to cruise control, power steering, power mirrors, power door locks, and power windows.

New for 2022 is a standard digital display rearview mirror. Often times when driving an RV using the rearview mirror to see out of the rear windows can be difficult because of the extruding walls inside the RV. The digital rearview mirror gives you an unobstructed view of the road behind while driving.

Cabinetry 

The interior has received many updates for 2022, including new Italian Tecnoform cabinetry and decor options. The cabinetry options include Weather Teak (light colored), Walnut, or Walnut with Matte White. The hardware on the cabinets and drawers has also been upgraded, making them easier to open and remain secured.

59G Dinette

The Dinette area of the 59G floor plan has been redesigned for 2022. The dinette now features a Lagun table that can be swiveled 360 degrees and be moved up and down. The table can also be removed completely or used on the passenger side mount.

One of the biggest changes is the seating area, the 59G no longer has a bench but rather two automotive-grade seats with 3-point seat belts. The new seats feature beautiful stitching and embroidered Travato logos in each seat. The seats can also be lifted to access an additional storage area below.

By removing the passenger side bench seat from the 59G floor plan, you now have unobstructed access in and out of the sliding door. A pedestal behind the passenger seat provides a second mounting option for the dinette table as well as pop-up USB and power outlets.

Galley

One of the first things you’ll notice is the beautiful Corian® countertop paired with a stainless steel kitchen sink and updated faucets. Both the 59G and 59K feature a 2-burner range LP cooktop while the GL/KL models have a single burner induction cooktop. The 59K/KL galley features a pop-up power outlet rather than a wall-mounted outlet.

Bedroom

The murphy style bed in the 59G floor plan has been redesigned as well for 2022. The bed is now 3″ wider than previous year models and measures 49″ x 77″. The frame of the bed has been changed from solid wood to an aluminum metal frame with a support leg. This is not only stronger but is lighter weight, making it easier to lift the bed into the upright position, and the leg doubles as a step.

The 59K floor plan is offered as two twin beds that can easily be converted to one larger 74″ x 76″ queen bed.  Like the 59G, the 59K features an adjustable Lagun Table that can be used from the bed.

Exterior

Some exterior upgrades have been made for 2022, including new screen doors. The Travato now has Rolef magnetic screens on both the side and rear doors. The great thing about these screens is they close automatically with magnets each time you pass through.

Another update is the rear annex. Similar to the Solis, the rod and curtain attach between rear cargo doors to provide an additional area outside. This is the perfect privacy screen for an outdoor shower or can be used to hang up wet items.

The new water control panel in the rear has all the control valves, connection points, and exterior wash station with pump switch. The Travato also now comes standard with the Eco-Hot® water system. This system flushes the cold water from your hot water lines, thus saving water by not waiting for the water to warm up.

Finally, both the 59G and 59K models feature the new Cummins Onan® QG 2800i gas generator. This high-efficiency gasoline generator has been redesigned to reduce noise and vibration levels compared to previous models.
