5 Spring Events to Attend with your RV

Owning an RV gives you the ability to travel with the comforts of home and enjoy experiences that would not be possible otherwise. There are all sorts of events going on across the country throughout the year. Below is a list of a few events to attend this spring that are RV friendly.

Overland Expo

The Overland Expo is held every year just outside of Flagstaff, Arizona. It is the perfect event for any outdoor or adventure travel enthusiast. The event features a Film Festival, roundtable discussions, demonstrations, food, and over 300 vendors. There are two events that take place each year, the Overland West May 17-19th, and Overland East in October.

Lewis and Clark Caravan

The Lewis and Clark Caravan is hosted by Winnebago Outdoor Adventures. This caravan travels a similar route that Meriwether Lewis and William Clark explored over 200 years ago. Historians, expert guides, and storytellers will share their knowledge along the way. The event starts in Missouri in May and goes through the month of June ending in Oregon.

Nascar

If you like racing or just want to have a good time with other RVers, a Nascar event might be for you. The Nascar season starts March and is a great weekend tailgating trip. Many tracks offer infield parking that puts you right in the heart of the action. The camping at the events typically ranges from Family friendly spots to designated areas for people who like to party.

GoPro Mountain Games

The GoPro Mountain Games are the country’s largest celebration of adventure sports, art, and music. The Mountain Games take place every June in Vail, Colorado. Events featured include kayaking, running, slackline, mountain and road cycling, climbing, photography, and more. If you don’t want to compete there are yoga sessions, food vendors, live music, and more throughout the weekend.

Bayou Country Superfest

If country music is your style, the Bayou Country Superfest is one you don’t want to miss. The festival is held on Memorial Day weekend (May 25-26th) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and features some of Country Music’s biggest stars. With RV-specific parking areas, you’ll be sure to enjoy the food, music, and southern hospitality.
