As one of the top RV dealers in the PA area, we put together a list of some of the top RV parks in Pennsylvania. We’ve done our best to list campgrounds from all over the state that are near attractions and are family friendly. Adventure Bound Camping Resorts at Eagles Peak

The Adventure Bound Camping Resorts at Eagles Peak is located in Robesonia, PA. The campground is surrounded by hundreds of acres of wilderness but still within short driving distance of shopping, amusement parks, and restaurants. Less than an hour away is Hershey park, home of America’s Largest RV Show every September.

This RV park has full hookups for electric (50 AMP and 30 AMP) with sewer access, water, cable and Wi-Fi access. They offer Back-In sites and pull thru sites for RV’s. The campground is also pet friendly.

Whispering Winds Campground

Whispering Winds Campground is located in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest. Situated at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, this area offers peaceful and relaxing scenery and breathtaking views.

Whispering Winds offers clean and well maintained facilities and is family-owned.

They accommodate all types of campers with large level gravel sites, some sites back up to a babbling brook. Full hookups for electric (50 AMP and 30 AMP) with sewer, water, cable and Wi-Fi. Washers/dryers are also available as well as clean restrooms and showers.

Fox Den Acres

Next on out list is Fox Den Acres in New Stanton, Pennsylvania. Located just a short drive from Pittsburgh with easy access to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Nearby attractions include Mt. Washington, local winery’s, and Caverns.

They offer very large gravel pull thru sites with limited tree cover. Full Hookups for electric (50 AMP and 30 AMP) with sewer access, water, cable and Wi-Fi. Cell service in the area includes ATT, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile.

Restrooms and showers are available but no Laundry Facilities. Fox Den Acres is one of the highest rated RV parks in the Pittsburgh area.

Philadelphia / West Chester KOA

The Philadelphia / West Chester KOA is the closest campground in PA that is driving distance to Philadelphia. The campground is located an hour west of the city in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Area attractions include Valley Forge National Park and Lancaster/Amish country. The roads leading to the campground are narrow and may not be big rig friendly.

Like most KOA Campgrounds they have showers, bathrooms and laundry. The sites are a mix of pull through and back in that are gravel, most having a table, chairs and firepit. Sites are big rig friendly with 90′ max length. Some people say sites are not completely level. The campground has full hookups for electric (50 AMP or 30 AMP), sewer, water, cable, Wi-Fi and coverage for all major cell phone providers.

Driftstone on the Delaware

Driftstone on the Delaware is another great, family friendly RV park in PA. It is located in Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania and situated right along the banks of the Delaware River. This is a great campground if you like to canoe, kayak or go rafting on the Delaware River.

A majority of the campsites are 50′ wide and 85′ to 100′ long. While they have electric (30 & 50 AMP) and water hookups, there is no sewer hookup. They do offer a drain service. While the reviews for this campground are generally very good, there have been reports of Wi-Fi outages.
