2019 Winnebago Horizon
The 2019 Winnebago Horizon brings a new look and design to the diesel pusher category that has won them 2018 RV Pro Best of Show and 2018 RVBusiness RV of the Year. After a complex three-year design process, Winnebago has created something that is not typical in the current American RV design market. With a clean and modern design both inside and out the new Horizon is sure to turn heads anywhere it goes.
Winnebago Horizon Floorplans
Chassis
The Horizon is currently offered in two floor plans, a 40′ and 42′. The 40A comes with a 400-horsepower Cummins diesel engine, while the 42Q uses a 450 horsepower engine. The 42Q also comes with independent front suspension and TAG axle. Both models use an Allison 6-speed automatic 3000 MH transmission. The Horizon is built on Winnebago’s Maxum Chassis, a stronger, better performing chassis. The Maxum Chassis has a lower center of gravity for a better quality ride and improved handling.
Interior
The first thing you notice when stepping into the drivers seat is the premium feel. With powered driver and passenger seats that recline and swivel, long drives have never been so comfortable. The Xite Infotainment system with 10.4″ touch display comes standard with Rand McNally navigation as well as a sideview monitoring system come standard on the 2019.
When stepping inside the Horizon you’ll notice large spacious floorplan and bright interior. The Italian-made Technoform cabinetry has a nice quality feel and simple modern design. The decor is offered in three different wood packages as well as three different fabric collections.
The kitchen in most motorhomes can be small with very little counter space, this is where the Horizon outshines the competition. The design and features look like something you would find in a home with it’s stainless steel sink and Corian countertops. The standard microwave/convection oven and two-burner induction range top makes cooking easy weather your just making a snack of cooking a gourmet meal. A residential stainless steel French door refrigerator further adds to the kitchen’s upscale look.
The bedroom of the Horizon doesn’t disappoint. A powered Ideal Rest Natural Reserve king bed will provide you with a good nights sleep. The spacious wardrobe closet gives abundant storage for all your clothing. A 40″ HDTV will cover all your entertainment needs as well.
The bathroom on the Horizon is unlike no other. With two entrances into the bathroom from the hallway or bedroom as well as dual vanities, space is abundant. The bathroom is also very well lit with a large skylight and LED lighting. The double vanity is also a nice touch with a two-tone Corian sink and a simple modern looking faucet.
Exterior
One of the first things you’ll notice when you look at the Horizon on the outside is the clean look and lack of swirl graphics found on most RV’s. The Horizon has a Contemporary full-body paint design and is available in 8 different color options.
Warranty
Winnebago offers one of the best warranties in the RV industry. A 3-year, 100,000-mile Carefree Diesel Living warranty on all Class A diesel pushers. This continues to prove that Winnebago is backing their quality and also gives buyers a piece of mind.
