Introducing the 2019 Interstate Slate Edition
Recently Airstream has released a limited run of special edition Interstate coaches called the “Slate Edition”. The Interstate Slate Edition is available in both the Grand Tour and Lounge floor plans and has the same best-in-class features you’ll find in the Interstate. Each coach is numbered individually and only a limited run of 75 will be produced.
What’s new in the Slate Edition:
- New exterior badging with numbered edition
- Powered rear ottomans/jackknife seats
- New interior décor
- New Ultraleather colors
- Limited Tenorite Grey Metallic exterior paint
Interior Upgrades
The interior of the Slate Edition is one of the biggest differences compared to the standard Interstate. The Slate now has Two new Ultraleater color options available, Black Diamond and Pearl Diamond. The seats feature a diamond pattern stitching and detailed piping/trim that give it an upscale look and luxury feel.
Keeping the modern look the Deep Night Sky Corian® countertops give a nice contrast to the rest of the interior. The cabinetry in the Slate Edition features Two-tone laminate cabinets with a badge indicating the numbered edition of the coach.
One of the mechanical updates is the new powered rear ottomans/jackknife seats. Gone is the lifting and pulling to convert the seats, now it is just the push of a button. The final interior upgrade is a new woven floor that provides more grip and better durability.
Exterior Upgrades
The exterior of the Slate has also received an upgrade with a very limited Tenorite Grey Metallic paint option, a standard silver paint is also available. The exterior also features the same numbered limited edition badging found on the interior. Overall the Slate Edition takes the already great Airstream Interstate with all it’s amazing features and gives it a more modern and luxurious feel.
