Which Class B Van Is Right For You?

Which Class B Van Is Right For You?

Whether you’re downsizing or simply looking to join the Vanlife movement, a Class B van is the perfect option. Today’s Class B’s have it all, from off-road-capable 4×4 to the latest safety features to solar and lithium power. Below we will take a look at some of the most popular Class B Winnebago vans and highlight the main features.

Winnebago Revel

First on our list is the Winnebago Revel. Ever since the introduction of the Revel in 2017, it has been one of the most popular Class B vans on the market. What sets the Revel apart from other vans are it’s off-road capabilities and unique floor plan. Designed to spend time off-the-grid, the Revel features on-demand 4WD, all-terrain tires, and a Lithium battery system.

The interior of the Revel has all the amenities you need, including a large galley, dinette, on-board bathroom/shower, and power lift bed. One of the most unique features is the rear gear garage, the power lift bed that can be raised to access the 140-cubic-foot gear garage, perfect for storing bikes or other outdoor gear. Available in 3 exterior color options and 2 interior decors, the Revel truly is one of a kind.

Winnebago Boldt

Named after the German explorer and naturalist Alexander Von Humboldt, The Winnebago Boldt is the perfect blend of innovation and comfort. Like the Revel, the Boldt is also built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform. However, the Bolt is built on the 3500 chassis that features a longer 170″ wheelbase and an exterior length of 22’11”. If you plan on taking roads less traveled, an optional On-demand 4WD is available.

The Boldt is available in two floor plan configurations (70BL & 70KL) and both feature two twin beds that can be combined to create one larger bed. What sets the Boldt apart from other RVs is its All-Season insulation and Pure3 Advanced Energy System. The Pure3 system provides 12,800 watt-hours of clean, quiet power without the need for a generator. With the Boldt, you will spend more time off-the-grid and less time plugged in.

Winnebago Travato

As one of the top-selling Camper Vans in North America, the Winnebago Travato was at the forefront of the Vanlife movement. Unlike the Revel and Boldt, the Travato is built on the Ram ProMaster chassis and has a 3.6L V6 gasoline engine. Two floor plan options let you choose between two twin beds (59K/KL) or a corner queen bed (59G/GL).

Like the Boldt, the Travato is also available with the Pure3 Advanced Energy System in the  59GL and 59KL floor plans. This gives you the ability to run virtually any appliance including the air conditioner. If you plan on staying in colder weather, the Travato is equipped with Truma Combi® Eco Plus heating, above-floor waterlines, heated tanks, and insulation will keep you comfortable.

Winnebago Solis

The Winnebago Solis is an all-new model for 2021. Like the Travato, the Solis is also built on the Ram ProMaster chassis with a V6 gasoline engine. What makes the Solis different than any other Winnebago motorhome is the pop-top roof extension. This provides an additional sleeping area allowing you to sleep up to 4 people. The Solis also features a roof-mounted 220-watt solar panel and premium insulation throughout.

If you looking for more storage and additional upgrades, the Solis 59PX model may be for you. The 59PX is built on the extended chassis and features a rear cargo area, Onan 2.8KW Generator, and Coleman Mach 10 NDQ Air Conditioner. The great thing about the Solis is it provides you with all the amenities you need, but at a more budget-friendly price point.
