Reasons Why We Love the Winnebago Revel
First Released in 2017, the Winnebago Revel quickly became the standard of 4×4 Class B vans. Designed specifically for active outdoor enthusiasts, the Revel takes a no-nonsense approach to adventure. Below are some of the reasons why we love the Winnebago Revel.
1. Off-Road Capability
The biggest thing that makes the Winnebago Revel stand apart from any other Class B RV is it’s off-road capabilities. Built on the Mercedes-Benz® Sprinter chassis, the Revel features On-demand 4WD with low range electronic stability and traction control. This is great for those who like to take the road less traveled or want peace of mind while driving in poor conditions such as snow or ice. In addition to the 4WD, the Revel has BF Goodrich T/A KO2 all-terrain tires paired with black performance wheels.
2. MBUX Infotainment System
The MBUX infotainment system is all new for 2020 and is unlike anything you’ll find in most other Class B vans. The MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) has many innovative features such as 10.25″ touchscreen, USB connections, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, GPS navigation, and more. The MBUX also features voice control. Simply say “Hey Mercedes” and you can control a number of functions, ranging from the navigation system, radio, climate control, and more.
3. Unique Floor Plan
The 44E floor plan makes great use of the small space while still providing plenty of storage. The Revel has all the essentials you need, including a pull-up dinette, bathroom, and galley. The unique feature of the Revel is the 49″ x 79″ rear powered lift bed. After a day of adventure, simply lower the bed with the push of a button. When you’re done using the bed, raise it up and you have 140 cu. ft. of storage below for all of your gear.
4. Fuel Economy
When people think about a 4×4 vehicle with off-road tires, the first thing that comes to mind is poor fuel mileage. But that’s not the case with the Revel, on average the Revel gets around 18 miles per gallon thanks to the 3.0L 6-cylinder, 188-hp turbo-diesel engine that provides a great blend of power and fuel efficiency.
5. Rolef Screen Doors
Rolef Screen Doors are handmade in Canada and are custom designed for the Winnebago Revel. The exclusive design uses a magnetic lateral screen door that closes by itself when you go in or out, preventing bugs from getting in. When not in use the screens can be rolled up and out of the way to provide easy access. The Revel is equipped with screens on both the side and rear doors, allowing you open up the space and enjoy a nice breeze without any insects getting in.
6. Driver Assist
Winnebagos partnership with Mercedes-Benz brings the latest in safety and performance technology to the Revel, giving you peace of mind every time you hit the road. Features include electronic stability control, active brake assist, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traction control, and more.
7. Exterior Color Options
The Winnebago Revel is availble in 3 exterior color options that provide a unique look compared to other Class B coaches. The Pebble Gray and Blue Gray colors both feature earth tone colors with a gloss finish. If those colors are not your style, the Revel is also availbale in a metallic silver color.
