Meet the Airstream Nest

The Airstream Nest is the sleekest new addition to the Airstream family. The Nest is a fiberglass Airstream which is lighter, more modern approach to manufacturing Airstream trailers. Towable by mid-range SUVs, Airstream thought of everything when they designed the Nest. It’s unlike any other Airstream you’ve ever seen.

Nest has plenty of amenities packed into the stock model including LED lighting (which is controllable via Bluetooth), powered awning with exterior lighting, and pop up USB and 110 outlets. The Nest can take you anywhere you want to visit without sacrificing style or comfort.

It’s one of the most exciting news to come from Airstream in a few years since they announced they were acquiring the Oregon-based company, NEST, in 2016 who specialized in creating fiberglass trailers. Since the original design, there have been constant improvements to the trailer, including tons of overhead storage!

Airstream Nest Floorplans

The Nest has a 16FB floorplan and a 16U Dinette floorplan, images can be found below. With 16 feet of trailer, you get a tremendous amount of space with the newest Airstream.  The bed can comfortably sleep two people, it comes equipped with 2 LED reading lights for when you’re winding down with a book after a day of hiking. Nest comes standard with under bed storage, a tuff and needle adaptive foam mattress, and blackout curtains! You’ll be able to charge your phone with the USB ports in the bedroom, as well.

Nest Interior

The Nest has been meticulously designed inside and out. On the interior you get fingerprint and stain resistant soft white laminate, insulated soft touch interior panels and accent walls, Maxxair fan, probeless tank monitoring system, sliding screen door, panoramic front windows with blackout shades, handcrafted Italian Lite-Ply laminated interior cabinetry, seamless vinyl flooring, coat/key hooks and more. Nest Dinette & Lounge

Like many other 16-foot trailers, you can expect to get a full dinette and lounge from the Nest. In the base model, you can expect to have a 2 burner cooktop (LP gas), a laminate galley, stainless steel sink a with integrated cover, removable laminate table tops with aluminum pedestals, Spradling Dolce stain resistant cushions, and more.

Inside the Nest Bathroom

The Nest features a wet bathroom which means you shower right in your bathroom. It is 40 cubic feet (1,133-L) with a Thetford Porta Potti Curve toilet and a Scandvik shower. The greater plumbing is comprised of an Alde space/water heater with a 20 gallon (grey and fresh) water tank with a Shurflo water pump.
