Guide to Class C Motorhomes

RVs come in all shapes and sizes, deciding what model fits your lifestyle can be a tough decision. Class C motorhomes can be a happy medium for families where a Class B is too small or Class A too big. Below are some of the most popular Winnebago Class C motorhomes we carry here at Colonial RV.

Gas or Diesel?

One of the first things you need to decide when choosing a Class C is if you want a gas or diesel-powered motorhome. Gas-powered motorhomes tend to be less expensive to purchase but diesel motorhomes are more fuel-efficient. To learn more about the advantages of Gas Vs. Diesel motorhomes, read about it in our other blog ‘Gas Vs. Diesel: What’s Right For You’

Floorplans

With more than 12 different floorplans among Winnebago’s Class C motorhome lineup, you’ll be sure to find one that fits you lifestyle. One of the distinct features of a Class C motorhome is the area that extends over the cab. This provides an additional sleeping area or storage. Most Class C motorhomes are available in Queen and Twin bed floorplans. Some Winnebagos feature a Flex Bed System which allows you to quickly and easily convert a twin bed into a single queen-size, or convert the dinette into an additional sleeping area.

Size

Class C motorhomes come in a variety of sizes and floorplans ranging in length from 24′ up to 31′. While a Class C is smaller than a Class A motorhome, they still offer plenty of luxury amenities you would typically find in a larger Class A. Most models include slideouts to make an even larger living space.
